On Monday
16th May we had the great privilege of going to Liverpool
Cathedral for our Deanery Confirmation Service.
27 children/adults were confirmed
by Bishop Richard in a lovely service.

Mary Ponsford and Angela Hulley from St. Philips were confirmed. It was a tremendous occasion and lovely to see so many from St. Philips there to support them. Please continue to pray for Mary and Angela and all the confirmees .

MESSY CHURCH - Easter 2011

We
had a brilliant time as families moved round the various craft tables: painting,
making: cards, crosses, photo frames, flowers, Easter gardens, fondant egg nests
and learning about Fair Trade
Chocolate.
After the crafts we went over to church for a time of worship going round the
'Easter Experience', which the Teaching Assistants from school had set up.
Our time together ended as we ate homemade soup and sandwiches together.
The event was a lovely time focusing on this wonderful season and the
immense love our God holds for each one of us. It was made possible by
the brilliant leaders who worked hard and all the adults and children who
attended.

CHURCH SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP AWARD 2011

Bishop
Richard visited St Philip’s Primary school on Wednesday 16th March.
At the school Eucharist he presented the 'Church School Partnership
Award.' This Diocesan award recognises
the close relationship church and school share.
It’s a privilege to receive and highlights the work undertaken over
many years.
Rev
David Parry and Andrew Housley attended the service in recognition of their part
in St Philip’s Church/School receiving this award.
After the service the Bishop stayed in school visiting classes and being
interviewed by Y6.
